Netflix has announced that “The Little Prince” will be released on August 5 in the U.S. on their streaming service. The movie will also get a theatrical release, according to Entertainment Weekly. EW has learned that the animated retelling of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s 1943 novella will simultaneously be released theatrically and will hit Netflix exclusively on Aug. 5, four months after Paramount quietly pulled the feature shortly before its mid-March release date.
“It’s been a crazy adventure, the entire production,” says director Mark Osborne (Kung Fu Panda). “How I look at it, the release pattern is really uncommon too.”
Rachel attended a special screening for the documentary “Sonic Sea” yesterday in New York. The documentary is about protecting life in our waters from the destructive effects of oceanic noise pollution and Rachel is the narrator. Rachel attended the screening alongside John Hoffman & David Zaslav from Discovery Channel, Anna Carter & Rhea Suh from Natural Resources Defense Council Board and Graydon Carter (Vanity Fair). Rachel attended the “Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology” Costume Institute Gala earlier this evening in New York. The annual MET Gala is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Rachel looks absolutely stunning in a gold Armani dress with H. Stern jewelry. Rachel brought her sister/make-up artist Kayleen as red carpet date. She also posed alongside actress Lily Collins, artist Lorde, actor Miles Teller, actress Zoe Kravitz and Pierpaolo Piccioli & Maria Grazia Chiuri from Valentino. Rachel attended the 102nd White House Correspondents Dinner (WHCD) yesterday evening alongside her sister (and make-up artist) Kayleen McAdams and Sacha Pfeiffer. After the dinner she attended the Bloomberg/Vanity Fair after party. We have added the images in our gallery. Rachel made her red carpet debut during the WHCD and was invited by the Boston Globe and Sacha Pfeiffer (who she portrayed in Best-Picture winner “Spotlight“).
