Very exciting news everyone: Rachel is gracing the cover of Marie Claire US June 2015 edition to promote “True Detective“, and we expect she might also talk about her other upcoming projects including “Aloha” and “Southpaw“. We have added the cover and first photoshoot outtakes in our gallery. The magazine will hit newsstands on May 19 and we will add the (digital) scans as soon as possible.
On her character in True Detective: “I love that she’s not the girlfriend or the wife. She doesn’t really care what everyone thinks; she feels no responsibility for other people’s feelings. She’s not trying to be charming, which isn’t always the case with a leading lady. There’s [usually] sort of a responsibility to be a little bit likeable… Not that you want to be a horrendous character, just a little more human.”
On prepping with the Ventura County Police Department and the LAPD for True Detective: “I don’t know how they do it every day. I was like, ‘I’m going to get a hash brown from McDonald’s and go to bed.'”
On calling time-out after the Mean Girls-Notebook-Wedding Crashers trifecta: “I had to kind of reassess and go, What did I want this [success] to be, and how did I expect it to look?”
On the type of characters she likes to play: “I prefer to be a villainess. There’s something a bit more delicious about their wickedness.”
We have added the digital magazine scans of Entertainment Weekly’s Reunion issue in our gallery which features Rachel alongside her “Mean Girls” co-stars. Many thanks to our friends Luciana and Ali for their donations! The magazine is on newsstands right now, so be sure to pick up your (digital) issue right now!
Update: We have replaced the scans with better quality, thanks to my friend Claudia for donating the scans.
Rachel is gracing the cover of Allure magazine’s August 2014 edition like we previously reported. We have added the magazine scans in our gallery. We decided to add both the print as well as the digital/iPad edition in our gallery because the layout is very different of both editions. Many thanks to our friend Ali from Katie Holmes Online and Channing Tatum Online for donating the digital scans! The full transcript of the interview can be found in our press archive as well as the additional articles about Rachel’s cover look and beauty secrets.
Rachel McAdams has starred in more quotable movies than any A-list actress – yet she remains a mystery. But the private actress is willing to reveal some of herself, her famous costars, and her thoughts on true love.
Most actresses have one movie they would rather not talk about. They may even want to erase it from their IMDB profile. Rachel McAdams isn’t most actresses. Though she is a star with serious talent. McAdams doesn’t have an issue with the fact that her major big-screen debut was in the The Hot Chick, a comedy in which she and Rob Schneider swap bodies. In fact, she not only talks about the movie respectfully but also considers the striptease scene to he one of her toughest acting challenges to date.

We already updated our site with the behind the editorial photoshoot and the behind the scenes video in previous updates but be sure to check them out in case you missed it before.
E! released the exclusive first look of Allure magazine’s August 2014 cover and to our pleasant surprise it was revealed that Rachel will be gracing the cover of the magazine. We have added the first look at the cover in our gallery and we hope more of the photoshoot and interview will be revealed soon!
It’s been a while since Rachel McAdams graced the cover of a major magazine (nearly two years, in fact) but when it came time for her close-up, she was ready. Wearing minimal makeup and flashing an easy-going grin the actress looks completely comfortable—not to mention stunning—on the August 2014 cover of Allure.
As for her ever-changing hair color, the A Most Wanted Man actress is still sporting the slightly auburn-brunette shade that she went back to over a year ago.
The star has many films in the works including an untitled Cameron Crowe project with Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone as well as a reported return in the Sherlock Holmes franchise with Robert Downey Jr.. and Jude Law. Yet it’s her romance flick from a decade ago that is earning her headlines as of late.
We assume that she is gracing the cover to promote “A Most Wanted Man” but she might also talk about the Untitled Cameron Crowe/Hawaii project since it appears the photoshoot took place around the time the movie was being filmed in Hawaii.
Over the last few days more “About Time” promotional goodies were released. We added more press junket interviews of Rachel in our media archive including the first ones during the Munich (Germany) press day. Universal Pictures also started to air TV spots for the movie in the US to promote the upcoming release. Two spots are added in media archive as well.
The (international) media is also releasing their interviews with Rachel to promote “About Time“. We added various scans in our gallery, including her Sunday Style (Australia) interview. The translations of the dutch interviews are coming as soon as possible and the transcript of the Sunday Style interview can be found in our press archive. Be sure to also check out all the “About Time” interviews in our press archive over here.
We are trying to cover the international media coverage on the movie as good as we can, but if you noticed we missed something or you would like to donate interviews/scans/videos please drop us a line. The movie is still in theaters in the UK, was released in various (European) countries last week and will get released world wide the coming weeks. All the international release dates can be found here. The movie will be released November 1st (limited) and November 8th (wide) in the US.
The September 2013 issue – which is on newsstands now – of Empire Magazine has a nice in-depth interview with Richard Curtis, who wrote and directed “About Time“. The interview features a new on set still of Rachel, her co-star Domhnall Gleeson and Curtis and a small still of Rachel as Mary. He also praised Rachel in the interview (“I think she should have won an Oscar for The Notebook.”) and it’s definitely worth the read. The issue also features a DVD/Blu-Ray review of “Passion“, which will be out August 12th in the U.K.
Thanks to my friend Celyn from James McAvoy Fan for the scans!
